PIANC

After being absent for more than 10 years Plovput as a representative of the Republic of Serbia once again become a part of “PIANC” in 2007.

”PIANC” was established in 1885 and represent the oldest international organization that deals with technical aspects of navigation. It is a non-political and non-profit organization comprised of states, companies and private waterway users. PIANC’s main objective is to promote inland and sea navigation through investments in planning, projecting, construction, improvement, maintenance and development of inland and sea waterways, ports and harbors.
Fishing, sports and nautical activities are also part of PIANC’s activities.

In the past Plovput and its coworkers have regularly participated in Conferences and technical projects of “PIANC”. It is a great honor to continue with this tradition. In the beginning phase we started work in the “PIANC” Commission that deals with the waterways’ technical characteristics, environmental protection, international cooperation and activities regarding involvement of young experts in the area of navigation. In the future we hope to broaden our activities within this Organization.
