Info day on open calls for Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union (Seventh Research Framework Programme of European Union - FP7), in the field of transport, was held on 27th of October 2009 in Belgrade. The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development, and was held in the facilities of the Institute for Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy.

Representative of the Directorate for Inland Waterways Plovput, invited by the organizer, held the presentation on Plovput’s experience related to work on international projects financed from the different programmes of the European Union. Special attention was given to the RISING project (RIS services for improving the integration of inland waterway transports into intermodal chain), which is co-financed under FP7 Programme, and on which Plovput is a partner. It is a three years project (2009-2012), which objective is expansion of river information services (RIS) on private operators and integration of IWW navigation into intermodal transportation chains. This is one of five projects, from the first call under FP7 Programme, related to transport, on which Serbian partners are involved.
