Representative of the Directorate of Inland Waterways Plovput participated at the 38th GIS Forum Danube, held on 10- 11th of February 2010, in Vienna. The forum was hosted by via donau, the Austrian company for inland waterways. Representatives of Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Czech, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Russia, as well as officials from the Danube Commission and the International Commission for the Sava River Basin, participated at this Forum.

Each member country of the Forum, presented its report on news relevant for the work of Forum. After that, representatives of the Danube Commission and the International Commission for the Sava River Basin presented their reports. Czech Republic was officially included in the Forum, as an observer.

Status reports of working groups for D4D, hydrological data, enlargement of database for flood protection, WLAN, AIS, Inland ENC harmonization, water level information, as ell as accident database, were presented and discussed at the Forum.

At the end of the meeting, the next steps on the work of working groups of the Forum were planned. It is agreed for the next GIS Forum Danube to take place in Bratislava, Slovakia, on 22-23rd of September 2010.
